How Much Exercise?

Healthy professionals recommend children participating in activity of at least moderate intensity for one hour every day. Examples of moderate intensity activities include brisk walking; active play swimming, cycling, dance, most sports and games.

If your child does little activity at the moment start off with 30 minutes and build up. The hour doesn’t have to be done in one go-it can be built up over the day through walking to school PE lessons, playing with friends and out of school sporting activities.
